If the first thing that comes to mind when you hear "KORCULA island" is "Birth place of Marco Polo" we're here to expand your horizons. We're excited to introduce you to clear seas, dramatic landscapes, incredible food and some history.
Korcula town, which is only 5 km drive away from Villa Opus, combines a hint of Dubrovnik chic with an abundance of natural beauty. Just like Dubrovnik, the medieval old town of Korcula is squeezed onto a peninsula, where narrow stone lanes all lead down to the sea. Unlike Dubrovnik, however, its remote location keeps the vibe mellow and the crowds to a minimum, and the town has been named one of the most romantic in Europe. Local legend says explorer Marco Polo was born here, and the site of his alleged birth is open to visitors. Do we really have to explain more the allure of the Korcula?
Villa Opus is a luxury villa located in a small bay, surrounded by the scents and colours typical of this island. If chilling by the pool is your thing, Villa Opus will hit the spot. For relaxing there is the villa's wonderful pool surrounded by a large terrace where you can enjoy breakfast or sip a cocktail, without missing even one minute of sun.
Individually and stylishly decorated with uncluttered elegance, all four bedrooms open out onto terraces with fabulous views over the bay and the Peljesac Peninsula beyond. Cushions, blinds and bedspreads are rich and textured, with silks and materials sourced from around the world. All the air-conditioned bedrooms have Egyptian cotton linens with opulent bathrooms and plenty of fluffy towels to pamper oneself with after a day in the sea or around the pool.
The stylish kitchen has uninterrupted views over the bay and holds all the gadgets needed to make cooking and hosting a pleasure. The living room combines contemporary furniture, artwork and sculpture mixed with antique and modern pieces from around Europe. You’ll find solace from the midday heat in the calming interior at Villa Opus. Lounge on sofas in the spacious living area, decorated in chic pastel tones and enjoy those spectacular sea views through floor to ceiling windows.

The bathrooms are a sublime exercise in understated opulence.

Luxury Villa Opus is a tiny bit of paradise offering the ultimate in discretion. Why we love it: our off-the-beaten-path luxury villa is an unexpected find situated on the unspoilt and almost undeveloped coast. With its beachfront location, breathtaking sea views and modern amenities, it is the ultimate getaway to explore the beautiful island Korcula.
Korčula island is famous for its winding coasts, small fishing villages, olive trees and vineyards (pošip grapes are primarily only grown here). Whether you are cycling around the island, swimming in hidden beaches or spending the day wine tasting the local Grk wine - you’ll be wishing you had more time to spend here. We all long to find that special luxury villa that's right on the water. Last but not least enjoy your time there, it’s not every day you’ll be on an island in the middle of the Adriatic Sea.
